It’s all our favourite ingredients you’d find in a traditional mince pie made into energy balls with a good hit of orange using the latest edition to the range, our Raw Cacao Chocolate Sauce with Orange.
MAKES APPROX 16 BALLS
60g dried apple
80g whole almonds
1 tsp mixed spice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
a pinch of grated nutmeg
50ml Broma raw cacao chocolate sauce with orange
Place all ingredients, apart from the Broma chocolate sauce, into a food processor and blend until they’ve broken down into small pieces or your desired consistency.
Place the blended ingredients into a mixing bowl and add the Broma chocolate sauce. With a sturdy spoon, or your hands, mix until fully incorporated.
The mix should now be at the correct consistency for you to form small balls by hand.
We like to coat them in black and white sesame seeds for added goodness. Other coatings we like to use are desiccated coconut, cacao powder or finely chopped nuts.
These keep well in a fridge for up to 7 days in an airtight container so you can make a big batch to keep you going throughout the week!
