What Is Yacon?
Yacon is actually a flower and is part of a species of the perennial daisy, a relative of the more commonly known sunflower. Also known as Peruvian ground apple, Yacon is a native of South America that is traditionally grown in the northern and central Andes. Hence, why you aren’t likely to find it in your local supermarket!
